What Notely stores
Notely stores the following locally in your browser:
- Notes (content and titles) and timestamps.
- Preferences such as keyboard shortcuts and theme (light/dark).
The app uses localStorage when available and IndexedDB as a fallback. Notely does not send your data to any server or cloud.
Backups & sync
Notely will not back up your data. Your browser or device may back up site data. Those backups are controlled by your browser/device provider and not by Notely.
Security & sensitive data
Notes are stored on the device/browser. Do not store highly sensitive data (passwords, payment information, private keys). Keep your device and browser secure.
How to delete your data
Remove notes using the app’s delete controls or clear site data in your browser.
To fully remove Notely data manually, open your browser’s storage settings and remove all data tied to Notely.
Third-party services
Google Analytics - used to collect aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (page views, device/browser type, referrer, approximate location derived from IP, and other technical data). We do not combine those analytics with your notes content.
Google Search Console - used to monitor site indexing and search performance (search queries, impressions, clicks, URL inspection). Data in Search Console helps us improve how the site appears in Google Search; it is not used to read or transmit your notes.
